Define concrete and building changes

Concrete removals for charging infrastructure at an existing property

A charging retrofit may need only local concrete changes, or it may coincide with a wider parking-area renewal. The electrical and civil design should establish the future equipment positions and service route before the concrete removal is described.

Read the proposed site plan in layers

Mark existing bases, proposed openings, retained walkways and parking surfaces separately. A line showing a new service route does not establish the depth or extent of concrete removal. The responsible designers and utility parties resolve what lies along that route and what must remain.

Plan layerQuestion before a removal assessment
Existing baseRetain, modify or remove under the new layout?
Service crossingWhich concrete segment is specified for opening?
Parking edgeDoes the kerb or walk remain in the new design?
Following workWho excavates, installs and reinstates each surface?

Illustrative layout comparison

In a local retrofit, the plan retains the parking surface and identifies an obsolete base plus one reviewed concrete crossing. In a wider renewal, several parking edges and walks also change. The same number of charging spaces could therefore produce different demolition packages.

This is a planning comparison, not an electrical design or a claim about a completed installation. Keep asphalt, excavation, electrical work and new foundations assigned separately rather than assuming they accompany concrete removal.

Coordinate the retained property

The owner and project team decide parking closures, pedestrian arrangements and access to occupied buildings. Show the material collection route alongside those decisions. A short opening on a plan can still sit on a heavily used route.

Ask about the concrete portion

Provide the proposed layout, marked concrete elements and the next contractor's requirements. SiteClear can assess the cutting/removal contribution within its established services. Equipment installation, charging performance and reinstatement remain with their appointed providers.
