Choose a commercial renovation scope

Ordinary demolition for a theatre or cinema refurbishment

A venue refit can involve foyer counters, corridor finishes and auditorium interiors while retaining the stage, raked structure and specialist systems. Begin with the new audience layout and separate those building-removal tasks from the owner's technical equipment programme.

The responsible design team determines the retained structure and new layout. A sloped floor or stage enclosure should not be assumed removable fit-out.

Illustrative venue-section comparison

A front-of-house renewal changes reception joinery and foyer finishes while leaving the auditorium outside the demolition boundary. A wider refurbishment changes an internal room division and selected auditorium coverings. The second adds distinct structural, seating-provider and finish interfaces; it is not simply a larger foyer job.

Owner assets and technical systems need their own clearance and release arrangements. Stage rigging, engineered seating dismantling and audiovisual work are not inferred SiteClear capabilities.

Define the fit-out contractor's start

Ask which layers the next contractor needs exposed and who reviews fixing points or unexpected assemblies. Keep repairs and the new installation separate from agreed removal. The venue and project team determine closure, audience access and return to use; no event-ready date follows from demolition completion.

Request the ordinary building assessment

Provide the proposed venue layout, retained structure, equipment-provider contacts and the areas being refurbished. SiteClear can assess the supported interior contribution without implying public-procurement credentials or responsibility for the venue's specialist systems.
