Draw the complete position

Mark the proposed footprint, approach, pickup route and connection to the work area. Include doors, neighbouring access and any shared loading space. A location that appears empty may still be needed for deliveries or building operations.

Confirm the right authority

Obtain the property owner's or manager's direction for private space. For occupation of the public right-of-way, consult Toronto's street occupation permit information and confirm the arrangement with the City. A contractor booking or parking space does not establish permission to place a bin.

Plan the exchange, not only placement

Discuss truck access and material handling with the removal team. The project may need another agreed handling arrangement if a bin cannot occupy the intended position. Confirm how the route is kept available and who coordinates changes with management.
