Plan debris and handover
Can demolition debris go down a freight elevator, and how is it scheduled?
Demolition debris can use a freight elevator only under the building's agreed arrangements and a suitable handling plan. Confirm permission and equipment limits before treating the elevator as the removal route.

Check the entire load path
Record door dimensions, car dimensions, management-supplied limits, route turns and loading access. The demolition team should assess the material and handling method against that information. Do not infer permitted loads from the elevator's appearance or a different building's rules.
Connect movement to the booking
Agree when the crew can stage material, use the car and reach the truck. Shared use or an operator requirement changes the plan. Ask what happens if the car becomes unavailable so material does not accumulate in an unsuitable common area.
Document the end condition
Confirm protection and cleanup responsibilities with management. Review the route and elevator before handback, and document any issue through the agreed contact. The booking guide covers the management package; this guide concerns whether the proposed debris route is workable.
Questions to record at the planning review
Mark work area, shared corridor, lift and collection point on one route.
Identify the person controlling each shared transition.
Record what management expects at route handback.
