Define concrete and building changes

Concrete removal in a below-grade parking area

Parking-garage concrete removal should follow the rehabilitation team's defined scope. Visible cracks or surface wear do not establish what needs to leave. Bring the engineer's or responsible specialist's assessment and the receiving contractor's requirements to the removal discussion.

Identify the actual concrete element

Distinguish a floor area, a local repair boundary and a designed opening. Mark the retained structure and known services around it. The removal package should refer to the current drawing and its limits rather than a broad instruction to remove damaged concrete.

Project inputWhy the removal assessment needs it
Defined area and depthEstablishes the accepted physical boundary
Retained constructionIdentifies interfaces requiring professional direction
Receiving repair specificationSeparates demolition from preparation and rebuilding
Parking and route planConnects the work area to building users and collection

Keep rehabilitation tasks separately assigned

Structural diagnosis, temporary works, reinforcement repairs, specialist preparation, waterproofing and new concrete are not automatic parts of ordinary concrete removal. Post-tensioning work and hydrodemolition are not inferred capabilities. The responsible rehabilitation team determines the method and required specialists for the actual assembly.

Illustrative contractor handover

A project identifies a defined concrete area for removal and appoints a separate repair contractor. The removal endpoint is the agreed exposed condition, with any unexpected construction referred back for review. The repair contractor receives that area for its specified next stage; an empty patch is not evidence of completed rehabilitation.

Coordinate the garage as part of the building

The property team determines parking closures, routes and affected users. Show how material reaches the collection point without assuming every ramp or entrance is available. Bring those instructions, the current drawing and rehabilitation contact to SiteClear for the cutting/removal assessment. Do not use a photograph as a substitute for the professional scope.
