Prepare trade interfaces
What should an office owner clarify before glass partitions are removed?
Clarify ownership, retention and the removal route before deciding that an office glass partition belongs in the strip-out. Reuse, disposal and temporary retention create different coordination needs. The responsible removal team must assess handling; the owner should not dismantle panels to make the scope easier to describe.

Identify the complete assembly
Record the partition location, doors, frames and any connections to retained finishes. Ask whether the system is leased, owned by the tenant or expected to remain under the landlord's handover condition. A floor plan showing a wall line may not distinguish glass intended for reuse from glass intended for removal.
Resolve the destination before the route
If the owner wants to retain components, identify who accepts them and where authorised storage or collection occurs. Do not assume that ordinary debris handling includes a reusable-condition guarantee. The removal team should assess the assembly and route before a method or outcome is agreed. Keep the receiving party's requirements visible.
Review the occupied-building interface
Management should confirm access and any restrictions around public areas. Document the route and the condition expected when it is handed back. If retained ceilings or doors depend on the partition, obtain the appropriate direction before changing the boundary. This guide supports selective demolition planning without claiming specialist glazing installation or providing hazardous handling instructions.
Compare supplier collection with a new layout
In an illustrative office refit, one partition system is intended for supplier collection while another is included in ordinary removal. The supplier decides whether its retained components suit the receiving layout and specifies its collection requirements. The demolition package does not guarantee reuse merely because the owner requests it.
Record frame, door and panel destinations separately. The next room layout may need different dimensions or connections, so an apparent match on the plan is not confirmation that the old system can be reinstalled.
