What extra planning questions arise when a former medical office is stripped out?
Separate ordinary interior removal from equipment, materials and operational issues that require specialist review. The previous use of a space can create questions about retained services and items that should not enter an ordinary debris stream. It does not establish that a demolition contractor has healthcare-specific qualifications.

Ask the former operator to resolve their items
The owner should identify who is responsible for records, medicines, sharps, specialist equipment and other practice contents before the space is released. Avoid sending patient information through a demolition enquiry. A statement that the practice has closed is not a clearance record for the items it used or stored.
Define the building and material questions
Provide available drawings, material information and the landlord's handover condition. Ask appropriate specialists whether the former use introduces further assessment or clearance needs. SiteClear should not be represented as carrying out clinical decontamination, medical-gas work or hazardous-waste handling through a general commercial scope.
Release an ordinary removal boundary only when clear
Document which areas and components have been reviewed and which remain excluded or held. Give the removal team the relevant directions without including confidential records. This page helps an owner organise assessment and responsibilities before seeking a strip-out quotation; it is not a case study or an assurance that every former medical space is suitable for the same service.
