Plan debris and handover

How should an owner arrange collection of fixtures retained from a strip-out?

Agree who receives retained fixtures, where collection occurs and what condition has actually been promised. An instruction to keep an item does not establish a storage arrangement or guarantee that it can be reused. These decisions should be settled before it occupies the removal route.

Identify the item and receiving party

Use a clear location or item reference and name the owner-authorised contact who will accept it. Resolve uncertainty about tenant, landlord or leased ownership before collection. The demolition package should not decide title to disputed property. Ask the responsible party to give the instruction through the project lead.

Define the agreed handling boundary

Separate removal, packing, temporary storage, transport and future installation. SiteClear's ordinary selective-removal scope should not be assumed to include specialist conservation or a reusable-condition warranty. The contractor must assess whether the requested retention outcome is feasible. Record any limitations accepted by the owner.

Coordinate collection with building access

Ask management where the receiving vehicle or party may attend and how collection fits the loading arrangement. Do not leave retained items in a shared corridor awaiting an undefined pickup. At transfer, record the item and any visible exceptions without inventing a restoration certificate. This page concerns owner collection after an agreed retention decision, not a general salvage service claim.
