Food-court strip-out inside a shared shopping centre

A food-court unit sits within a larger operating building. Define the tenant's counter and back-of-house area separately from shared seating, mall routes and centre-owned systems before agreeing the demolition package.

Draw the tenant boundary

Use the landlord's actual plan and handback instructions. Mark the counter frontage, internal partitions, floor finishes and fixed joinery proposed for removal. Identify anything that crosses into shared space or serves neighbouring units as a question for the landlord and responsible specialists.

AreaAssessment question
Counter frontageWhich fixed elements belong to this tenant and leave?
Kitchen interiorWhich ordinary finishes follow specialist equipment release?
Shared seating edgeWhat remains outside the tenant's removal boundary?
Back-of-house routeHow does material reach the centre's agreed collection point?

Compare a new operator with a full reset

An illustrative operator change retains a reviewed counter arrangement and changes selected finishes. A full reset removes more of the ordinary tenant fit-out for a new layout. In both cases, extraction, gas, refrigeration, suppression and grease-related work require their appropriate providers; those systems are not included by calling the work a strip-out.

Coordinate the centre's routes

Supply contractor registration, loading and access instructions from management. Shared deliveries and neighbouring traders can affect the agreed work sequence. Use the mall delivery interface guide for that discussion rather than assuming standard mall work hours.

The responsible team must also define the interval between demolition and the new operator's fit-out. Who secures the frontage, inspects exposed conditions and receives the unit should be clear before handover.

Request the tenant-removal assessment

Bring the unit plan, landlord instructions, retained equipment list and specialist contacts. SiteClear's restaurant interior service provides the ordinary-removal route; the enquiry should distinguish tenant work from mall-owned systems and common areas.
