Confirm scope and approvals
Does an existing material report cover the proposed removal area?
Compare the report's surveyed locations and limitations with the actual removal plan. The existence of a report is not proof that every room, layer or later alteration was assessed. Ask the report author or responsible specialist to resolve gaps before the affected material is disturbed.

Compare area and assembly coverage
Use room names, floor levels and sample or observation references from the report. A finding for a ceiling finish does not automatically describe insulation above it, and a report for one tenant space may not cover an adjacent extension. Record the exact missing area rather than reducing the report to a single statement that the property was checked.
Read limitations and later changes
Look for inaccessible areas, excluded materials and recommendations for further investigation. Ask management whether work occurred after the report date. Ontario's asbestos guidance explains why material information matters to construction planning; the appropriate assessment and procedures depend on the actual project. This guide does not identify a material from appearance or establish an abatement method.
Pass a clear question to the specialist
Provide the proposed removal drawing and ask whether the existing report addresses those components. Keep any supplementary direction with the original report and distribute it to affected contractors. SiteClear's ordinary removal scope should not be used to imply specialist abatement qualifications. An unresolved material question remains a release condition for the affected work, while other planning information can still be gathered.
